PERSONAL INFORMATION

to make some personal information available to certain individuals, or groups of individuals,
when arranging care assistance for a loved one.
In order to balance these needs effectively, we have taken several measures to protect the
information that is entrusted to us. The protection we offer is only as effective as it is
allowed to be. We strongly encourage everyone that uses CareCalendar to respect the privacy
of others and only share the personal information, and the means to access that information,
with those that need to know it and can be trusted.
Collection of personal information
CareCalendar collects personal information about the recipient, coordinator, and helper. The personal information collected may include name, street address, email address, phone number and other contact information. This information is only collected when you submit it. No personal information is gathered automatically.
CareCalendar does automatically collect information generated by your browser into our server activity logs. This information includes browser version, operating system, IP address, pages visited, time and date of visit, and the referring page. The information is generally not associated with an individual and used primarily for anonymous aggregated statistics.
Any personal information that is disclosed in the News & Updates section will be available to others when logged on to the associated personalized calendar.
Use and disclosure of personal information
When a helper signs up to fill a need, the contact information provided will be made available to the recipient and coordinator associated with that need. Other helpers may also be able to view your name and send an email message to you through the CareCalendar web site without your email address being revealed to them.
Contact information for the recipient and coordinator will be made available to anyone that logs on to the associated personalized calendar. In addition, the recipient's physical location will also be made available. This information will assist potential helpers in determining what needs, if any, they can fill.
CareCalendar does not rent, sell, or share any personal information without your permission. By making a purchase on CareCalendar, you automatically grant permission for us to share the information necessary to complete the transaction with third-party vendors, like payment processing and shipping companies.
Under certain circumstances, CareCalendar may provide information to law enforcement agencies when required by law or otherwise warranted.
Advertisements are displayed on CareCalendar and may be targeted to a specific audience based on several factors. We do not provide any of your personal information to these advertisers.
On occassion, we may send email surveys or announcements about new features or changes to existing policies and/or procedures. By submitting your email address to us, you grant us permission to include you in the distribution of these items. Upon your request, we will remove your email address from our records, which could have a negative impact on the quality of services provided.
COOKIES
CareCalendar may attempt to set and read a session cookie on your computer. This cookie contains a randomly generated code that allows the server to remember certain details during each visit, like which calendar you are logged on to. This cookie becomes invalid as soon as you logoff the site. Each new logon receives a new cookie.
Some third-party sites and sponsors that are linked to CareCalendar may place additional cookies on your computer in order to ensure that we are credited for your visit to their site and are compensated properly. Before you provide personal information to any site, we recommend that you read their privacy policy.
